Crime Stoppers of Morgan & Scott County are requesting information to assist the Morgan County Sheriff's office in their Investigation of a recent Theft.

Sometime between 10p.m. on February 15 and 3:30p.m. on February 16: unknown person(s) used an object to break into a unoccupied parked vehicle in the 700 block of Cylinder Head Road in Rural Chapin.

An undermined amount of cash was then removed from the vehicle.

Crime Stoppers of Morgan & Scott County are requesting information to assist the Jacksonville Police Department in their Investigation of a recent vehicle Hit & Run. Sometime on February 13, an unoccupied parked vehicle was struck in the 300 block of Park Street near Illinois College.

The suspect vehicle should have sustained minor front end damage.

Sometime between Noon on January 24 and 8a.m. on January 28, unknown person(s) removed an homemade trailer from the 900 block of East State St. The trailer was described as a single axle with 2X6 wooden sidewalls.

Sometime in the overnight hours of January 22 & 23: unknown person(s) removed a sewer pump from the utility department of the Village.

Sometime between 6:15p.m. and 7:25p.m. on January 22: unknown person(s) shattered windows of two parked vehicles in the 200 block of East Beecher. Each Vehicle had a purse removed, both containing cash and credit/debit cards.

Crime Stoppers of Morgan & Scott County are requesting information to assist the Jacksonville Police Department in thier investigation of a recent Burglary. Sometime between 10:15p.m.on December 13 and 3:40p.m. on December 14: unknown person(s) damaged a door and made entry to a residence in the 700 block of North Prairie.

     Items were then removed from the residence. Amont the items removed were a 55' Sansui Televison, a Sony Playstation 4 and video games. Estimated loss of the items is over $1000

Sometime between 4:15 and 4:50p.m. on January 6; unknown person(s) made entry into a residence in the 700 block of North East. Entry was made through a window. Items were disturbed but, nothing was reported taken at this time.

Sometime between 10;30p.m. on December 13 and 9:30a.m. on December 14: Unknown person(s) removed a 2000 Tan Cadillac Deville from a residence in the 1000 block of East Morton. The vehicle is described as Tan in color with a Golf Ball Hood Ornament.

JPD received a report of a mislaid purse that occurred in Lincoln Square this past week. The purse was mislaid on Sunday November 25 at 5:30pm and recovered at 10:30am on Monday November 26. However, upon recovery, an undetermined amount of cash was missing.

Crime Stoppers of Morgan & Scott County are requesting information to assist the Jacksonville Police Department in their Investigation of a possible Vehicle Arson. The Jacksonville Fire Department responded to a Vehicle Fire at 5:25a.m. on November 25. A 2004 Buick Century ,parked unoccupied in the 200 block of East State was fully engulfed in flames. The Vehicle was a total loss. Due to the suspicious nature of the fire, it is being treated as an arson.

Crime Stoppers of Morgan & Scott County are requesting information to assist the Jacksonville and South Jacksonville Police Departments in their investigations of recent Vehicle break ins.

Both Departments received multiple reports of Vehicles being entered in the Overnight hours of November 19 & 20. All the Vehicles were unlocked at the time and among the items removed were cash, credit cards and cell phone chargers. The activity was mainly congested in the Village of South Jacksonville and the NorthWest side of Jacksonville. Crime stoppers suggest vehicles be locked at all times and valuables removed. If the valuables can not be removed, it's recommend to store them in the trunk or out of plain view.

On Saturday October 27 at approximately 10am: unknown person(s) removed several pallets from a business in the 500 block of Capital Way. The suspect vehicle is believed to be a Light Blue Dodge Ram pickup truck pulling a flatbed trailer. The pallets removed are valued at over $900.

Crime stoppers of Morgan & Scott County are requesting information to assist the Morgan County Sheriffs Department in their Investigation of a recent Theft. Sometime between 6:30pm on October 18 and 10:45am on October 19; Unknown person(s) broke into a storage shed in the 2200 block of Baldwin Rd and removed several tools. Among the items taken were a Craftsmen tool set and a carpet cleaner. Total loss of the items and damage done is over $1200.

Crime Stoppers of Morgan & Scott County are requesting information to assist the Jacksonville Police Department and the Morgan County Sheriffs Office in two cases of Criminal Damage.

On October 6 at approximately 6:30pm; a Pumpkin was thrown at a residence on North Grand Avenue in Jacksonville from a moving car. The Pumpkin shattered a window causing an estimated $300 in damage.

On October 7 at approximately 10:30pm; a vehicle traveling Northbound on US 78 near the Jacksonville airport was struck with tomatoes from a vehicle traveling southbound. A headlight on the northbound vehicle was shattered in the incident.
