Crimestoppers of Morgan & Scott County are requesting information to assist the Morgan County Sheriffs Department in their investigation of a recent Burglary from a motor vehicle. Sometime in the overnight hours of April 4 & 5; unknown person(s) removed cash from an unlocked Truck in the 1600 block of Gravel Springs Road. A trailer hitch was also removed from the vehicle.

Crimestoppers of Morgan & Scott County are requesting information to assist the Jacksonville Police Department in their investigation of a recent Burglary and Criminal Damage to a motor vehicle report. Sometime between 10pm on March 23 and 7am March 24: unknown person(s) used a rock to break glass and enter a locked vehicle in the 1200 block of West College. Among the items taken were a Gold IPad Air 2, and clothing. The rear quarter panel of the vehicle was also damaged.

it should also be noted that the Police Department received multiple reports of vehicles being entered on the same evening in the Northwest part of the city. Many of those vehicles were unlocked and smaller items including cash were taken. Crimestoppers and JPD advise owners to lock their vehicles and store valuable items out of sight.

There have been some counterfeit currency recently used in the city of Jacksonville. The Jacksonville Police Department wants to remind everyone to be vigilant of the money handed to you. The currency recently passed were $20 bills with words "For Motion Picture Use Only" on it. If anyone knows of individuals passing counterfeit currency contact the Police Department or Crimestoppers.

Crimestoppers of Morgan & Scott County are requesting assistance in locating a suspect in a recent Hit & Run. At 10:17pm on March 1, 2017; Jacksonville Police were dispatched to East Morton Ave. near Country Club Rd. A bicyclist had been struck by a vehicle traveling Westbound into Jacksonville and fled the scene. The suspect vehicle is believed to be a 1990"s Ford Ranger, possibility missing a Passenger side mirror.

Sometime in the Overnight hours of Feb. 17 & Feb 18: unknown person(s) spray painted graffiti on houses, garages and the antique blacksmith shop on North School Alley.

Crimestoppers of Morgan & Scott County are requesting information to assist the Morgan County Sheriff's Department in their investigation of a recent burglary.

Sometime during the overnight hours of February 2nd/3rd; unknown person(s) broke out a glass door to gain entry to the Franklin Elevator on N Railroad St in Franklin.

Once inside, a pry bar was used to enter an interior office and an undetermined amount of cash removed.

Crimestoppers of Morgan & Scott County are requesting information to assist the Morgan County Sheriffs office in their investigation of a recent theft.

Sometime between Feb. 2 and Feb. 6, 2017; Unknown person(s) used some type of small tracked equipment to remove a Red PTO Rotary Tiller from a shed on Earl Rd located in Rural Eastern Morgan county.

A white Ford Truck and trailer was seen in the area and might have been used to off load it onto Ginder Rd.

Sometime between 1pm on Sunday January 15 and 7pm January 16; unknown person(s) made entry into a residence in the 900 block of Allen Ave. Among the items taken were a Flat screen television, a Xbox 1 and PlayStation 3 gaming system along with a Hewlett Packard laptop computer and an undetermined amount of cash.

Crimestoppers of Morgan & Scott County are requesting information to assist the Jacksonville Police Department with two Burglaries from Motor Vehicle cases that occurred on Christmas Eve, while the owners attended church services.

Sometime between 6pm and 7pm on December 24; unknown person(s) broke a front window of a vehicle parked at a church in the 900 block of Lincoln Ave. Among the items taken were a Handbag that contained various credit and debit cards along with cash. Total loss of the items including damage to the window was over $600.

Later that evening between 7pm and 8:30pm ; unknown person(s) broke out a front window to a vehicle parked at a church in the 800 block of West College. A handbag containing similar items were taken . Total loss of the items along with damage to the that vehicle is over $600.

Sometime in the overnight hours of December 20 and 21: unknown persons removed a generator from a residual construction site in the 1200 block of Perbix Road in Chapin. The missing generator is valued over $1300.

Crimestoppers of Morgan & Scott County are requesting information to assist the Village of Bluffs Police Department in their investigation of recent vandalism. On Sunday December 4 between the hours of 5:30pm and midnight : unknown person(s)

damaged and removed several Christmas decorations throughout the Village and in the Village Park as well.

Similar reports have been received by the Jacksonville Police Department and South Jacksonville Police Departments on the same activity within the previous week.
