Crimestoppers of Morgan & Scott County are requesting information to assist the Jacksonville Police Department in their investigation of recent vandalism. Sometime during the past month, unknown person(s) used objects to break out several windows at a business in the 500 block of West Lafayette. In total, 17 windows on the south side of the business were broken for an estimated $2000 in damage.

Sometime between 5:30pm on May 9 and 9:45am on May 10; Unknown person(s) removed a Black 18foot Trailerman trailer from a business in the 1800 block of West Morton. the trailer has a middle slot for motorcycle hauling and is estimated at over $3000

Crimestoppers of Morgan & Scott County are requesting information to assist the Morgan County Sheriff's Department in their investigation of a recent copper theft. Sometime between May 7 & May 8; unknown person(s) cut padlocks to enter into fenced areas of cell phone towers throughout the Murrayville & Franklin area. Copper wire was then cut and removed from the towers. Total approximate loss is over $6000

Crimestoppers of Morgan & Scott County are requesting information to assist the Jacksonville Police Department in their investigation of a recent Hit & Run. Jacksonville Police received a report of a Vehicle Hit & Run on Sunday afternoon April 30. A parked vehicle was struck in the 500 block of South Diamond causing damage to the driver's side fender and mirror.

The suspect vehicle should have damage to the front passenger side and some red transfer paint.

Sometime between 9:20pm and 9:30pm on April 9: unknown person(s) removed a Yard Machine Riding Lawn Mower from a residence in the 200 block of Green Street. The mower has been spray painted Black in color with two wheels yellow and the other two grey. Value is estimated at over $200.

Sometime in the overnight hours of April 4 & 5; unknown person(s) removed cash from an unlocked Truck in the 1600 block of Gravel Springs Road. A trailer hitch was also removed from the vehicle.

Crimestoppers of Morgan & Scott County are requesting information to assist the Jacksonville Police Department in their investigation of a recent Burglary and Criminal Damage to a motor vehicle report. Sometime between 10pm on March 23 and 7am March 24: unknown person(s) used a rock to break glass and enter a locked vehicle in the 1200 block of West College. Among the items taken were a Gold IPad Air 2, and clothing. The rear quarter panel of the vehicle was also damaged.

it should also be noted that the Police Department received multiple reports of vehicles being entered on the same evening in the Northwest part of the city. Many of those vehicles were unlocked and smaller items including cash were taken. Crimestoppers and JPD advise owners to lock their vehicles and store valuable items out of sight.

There have been some counterfeit currency recently used in the city of Jacksonville. The Jacksonville Police Department wants to remind everyone to be vigilant of the money handed to you. The currency recently passed were $20 bills with words "For Motion Picture Use Only" on it. If anyone knows of individuals passing counterfeit currency contact the Police Department or Crimestoppers.

Crimestoppers of Morgan & Scott County are requesting assistance in locating a suspect in a recent Hit & Run. At 10:17pm on March 1, 2017; Jacksonville Police were dispatched to East Morton Ave. near Country Club Rd. A bicyclist had been struck by a vehicle traveling Westbound into Jacksonville and fled the scene. The suspect vehicle is believed to be a 1990"s Ford Ranger, possibility missing a Passenger side mirror.

Crimestoppers of Morgan & Scott County are requesting information to assist the Morgan County Sheriff's Department in their investigation of a recent burglary.

Sometime during the overnight hours of February 2nd/3rd; unknown person(s) broke out a glass door to gain entry to the Franklin Elevator on N Railroad St in Franklin.

Once inside, a pry bar was used to enter an interior office and an undetermined amount of cash removed.

Crimestoppers of Morgan & Scott County are requesting information to assist the Morgan County Sheriffs office in their investigation of a recent theft.

Sometime between Feb. 2 and Feb. 6, 2017; Unknown person(s) used some type of small tracked equipment to remove a Red PTO Rotary Tiller from a shed on Earl Rd located in Rural Eastern Morgan county.

A white Ford Truck and trailer was seen in the area and might have been used to off load it onto Ginder Rd.
