Crimestoppers of Morgan & Scott County are requesting information to assist the Jacksonville Police Department in their investigation of a recent burglary from a motor vehicle. Sometime between December 12 and December 14: unknown person(s)entered an unlocked vehicle in the 700 block of Finley and removed several tools. Among those taken were a Grinder, Circular Saw, hammer drill and Sander, all the Ryobi brand. Also taken was a Paslode nail gun and a tool bag. Total value of the items taken is over $400

Crime Stoppers of Morgan & Scott County are requesting information to assist the Jacksonville Police Department in their investigation of recent criminal damage to parked Vehicles.

Sometime in the overnight hours of December 2 and December 3: unknown person(s) slashed tires to 13 vehicles in the South West part of the city causing thousands of dollars in damages. The locations where the damage occurred was the 600 block of South Prairie, 400 block of West College and 200 block of West Chambers.

Crimestoppers of Morgan & Scott County are requesting information to assist the Jacksonville Police Department in their investigation of recent Burglaries at Lake Jacksonville. Between October 18 and November 24 of this year, at least nine campers at Lake Jacksonville have been burglarized. Unknown person(s) damaged and entered trailers through windows and then removed items including televisions, electronic devices, firearms ammunition and a shotgun.

Crime Stoppers of Morgan & Scott County are requesting information to assist the Morgan County Sheriffs Department in their investigation of a recent Burglary. Sometime between 4a.m. on November 12 and 5a.m. November 18: unknown person(s) damaged windows to enter a home in the 500 block of Park St in Meredosia and removed items. Among the items taken were: a Winchester 22 Rifle dark brown in color with a stainless barrel, a Henry 44 Rifle black in color with dark wooden stock and sights, a 12 gauge Remington 870 pump shotgun with 32" barrel, dark wooden stock with a black finish. A soft gun case and an undermentioned amount of cash was also taken. An approximate estimate of the missing firearms is over $1300.

Crimestoppers of Morgan & Scott County are requesting information to assist the Jacksonville Police Department in their attempt to locate a person of interest. On Tuesday November 7, 2017 at approximately 3:15p.m.; Jacksonville Police received a report of a White Male. approximately 30 years of age with Brown hair, clean shaven wearing a Black Shirt and long pants approach a juvenile who was walking on Sherwood Eddy Dr. The Male reportedly offered the juvenile money to go with him. When the juvenile declined, the Male left the area.

Crimestoppers of Morgan & Scott Counties are requesting information to assist the Jacksonville Police Department in their investigations of two recent Hit & Run's. On Sunday October 29 at 1A.M. a parked vehicle was struck in the parking lot of a business located in the 200 block of East State Street. The suspect vehicle which was described as a White Ford F150 Pickup truck backed from a space into the rear of the unoccupied vehicle causing damage to the rear passenger side panel before fleeing the scene.

The second incident was reported on October 31. While waiting for a tow truck in the 600 block of East College, a disabled parked vehicle was struck causing damage to the Driver side Mirror. The suspect vehicle that fled the scene was described as a red Chevrolet Trailblazer.

Crimestoppers of Morgan & Scott Counties are requesting information to assist the Jacksonville Police Department in their investigations of two recent Hit & Run's. On Friday October 20 at 11;59p.m : A White Chevrolet Van was struck in the rear while sitting at a stop light at South Main and Morton. The Van was struck while waiting to turn North bound onto Main. Passengers in the Vehicle were injured. The suspect vehicle fled from the scene, it is believed to be a Black Dodge Charger with all of it's windows fully tinted. The suspect vehicle should have some front end damage.

And then on Sunday October 22 at 1:20p.m. a vehicle jumped the curb and entered the yard of a residence in the 800 block of West Lafayette. The Eastbound vehicle struck a parked Red Suv before entering back onto the street and fleeing the area.

The suspect vehicle is believed to be a 2006 4 door Silver Chevrolet Impala. The driver of the suspect vehicle was described as a thin black male, approximately 14-15 years of age with short hair wearing a black & grey hoodie, jeans and red Air Jordan shoes. The passenger in the suspect vehicle was described as a black female, approximately 16-17 years of age with shoulder length hair wearing a University of Illinois sweatshirt. There were two unidentified backseat passengers as well.

Crimestoppers of Morgan & Scott County are requesting information to assist the Morgan County Sheriff's Department in their investigation of Criminal Damage to Property in Meredosia. Sometime between 5P.M. on October 6 and 7:30AM on October 9, 2017: Unknown person(s) climbed onto a corn pile at the Cargill plant at 111 Main St. At which time an unknown object was used to cut two holes into the tarp covering thus exposing the corn to the elements. Estimated damage is to be near $10,000

Sometime between September 10 and October 4, 2017: Unknown person(s) made entry into the Orleans Elevator on Old US 36 and removed a mower. A 2007 orange Simplicity riding mower with a 52 inch blade with a sprayer attachment was taken.

Sometime between 9AM on September 26 and Noon on September 27; items were removed from a residence on Alice Dr. Among the items removed was Black Safe containing a 357 silver handgun and an undisclosed amount of cash.

Taken was a Wildfire 50cc, 24 inch Motorized Bicycle. The bicycle is Red & Brown in color and valued over $500.

Crimestoppers of Morgan & Scott County are requesting information to assist area Law Enforcement in their investigations of several Motor Vehicle Thefts throughout the area. Between July 6 and July 12, 2017; Police have received over ten reports of vehicle thefts and attempted thefts. Among three vehicles still not recovered are; an Orange Chevrolet Silverado, a White GMC Club Cab and a 2002 Grey Pickup . The thefts occurred throughout Jacksonville and in Alexander, Cass County and Portuguese Hill Road. Police and Crimestoppers strongly urge Motorists to Remove Keys and Lock Vehicles.

Crimestoppers of Morgan & Scott County are requesting information to assist the Jacksonville Police Department in their investigation of a recent Hit & Run. At approximately 9:15pm on Wednesday June 21: unknown person struck a parked trailer in the 100 block of West Chambers and fled the scene. The suspect vehicle is beleived to be a dark colored late 90's Chevrolet Blazer driven by a white female with brown hair. The vehicle was traveling West bound on Chambers when it struck the parked trailer.
